About

Women of Noise (WoN) is a platform celebrating the work and stories of womxn (inclusive of trans-women and non-binary peoples) in the community. It aims to provide a space for sharing and engaging with the vibrant creativity of female-identifying and non-binary artists.

Women of Noise (WoN) was formed in 2018 in Brisbane, Australia, originally under the title of Noisy Women. Since its conception it has gained recognition as a important platform for celebrating and featuring womxn in the community and the arts.

Our projects are continuing to evolve. Currently WoN has several projects including Women of Noizzze, Women Write Now and International Women’s Day concerts.

We envision a future where all voices are heard and none are excluded. Our goal is to provide a platform where womxn creatives can share their stories and their art freely. Our vision is part of a worldwide movement that is already paving the way for a future of justice and celebrating creativity for creativity itself. In addition to our live concerts, events, podcast and blog, Women of Noise will be a long-term project, serving as a dynamic platform and living database for individuals, groups, stories and art.

Here’s to all women.
Here’s to all people.
Here’s to the women of noise!
